Jay-Z has seen success with his newest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, having been given a plaque for hitting 1 million copies sold on the day that it was released.

To celebrate, his wife, Beyonce, posted a picture of him as a child wearing a graduation cap and gown. On the bottom of the picture she wrote “Bow Down,” just as she sang in her controversial song “Bow Down/I Been On.”

In that song, she sings “Don't get it twisted, get it twisted, this my s--t, bow down bitches. I know when you were little girls, you dreamed of being in my world…”

Beyonce captioned her Instagram photo of Jay-Z “Platinum #MagnaCarta,” because the album did go platinum rather quickly.

Jay-Z inspired the RIAA to change certification rules after his new deal with Samsung, which saw the album being released to their customers three days earlier.

The RAA used to wait 30 days after an album’s release to count digital sales, but because of this deal they got rid of that. Now digital sales will count right away and Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail got the platinum certification before it even went on sale to the general public.
