In the music world record might be one of the most confusing words. To some people record means one song, while to others it means an entire album.
That was evident on Wednesday when Diplo, a producer and frequent Beyonce collaborator, sent many news outlets into a frenzy when he said "I just did two songs for her new album, well, I tried. I think she scrapped the record." in an interview with The Sun
A lot of people took this statement as an announcement that Beyonce's album would not be coming out including Hotnewhiphop. They reported that the album was scrapped, and found the fact that they haven't been promoting any singles, as evidence that this could, in fact, be happening.
On Friday morning though, Diplo sent out a series of tweets displaying his definition of the word record. He tweeted that when he said the record was scrapped he meant just one song he did for the album reports the Huffington Post
This is great news for Beyonce fans, after a little scare. She scrapped just one "record" (song) from the album that will eventually be coming out. There are not many details on said album, but we do know now, officially, that Beyonce will be releasing another album at some point.
