Brian Lane, drummer of alternative rock band Brand New, has confirmed that the band will be keeping busy after the recent cancelation of their European tour dates.
“There’s Brand New stuff happening,” said Lane in a recent interview with DIY Magazine.
Brand New had recently cancelled their August European tour dates via a Facebook.
In regards to the recent cancelation of their European tour, Lane promises that the band will be back at some point. He did not give DIY Magazine any further information about the cancellation of the tour.
Instead, Lane spoke of his side project, Shone, releasing its first album, Heat Thing August 26 off of Procrastinate! Music Traitors. The band consists of Lane and Brand New band mate Andrew Accardi.
“I would like to tour it but I think, just being more realistic about it, it's a matter of when we can all do it,” said Lane.
He offers the idea that the band is still together, and that they are putting Brand New first before any other projects they may have, dismembering any break up rumors.
Brand New is currently still schedules to play their September US tour dates along with Riot Fest this August.
