Malibu California natives Brandon Jenner and Leah Felder released their new EP Cronies that features five acoustic and electronic pop “beachy” singles. The husband and wife dynamic duo have collaborated in the singing and songwriting to create a feel good album.

Growing up in Malibu Brandon and Leah skipped the glamorous club lifestyle and spent their time on the beach surfing and singing at bonfires. In their teen years Brandon and Leah would write and perform songs together. Both of them loved what Brandon called “beachy” music Ben Harper and Bob Marley. They have gained inspiration from these artists and made their own individual sound.

Brandon and Leah wanted to capture their hometown and carefree beach lifestyle in their music. It is evident with the songs being mellow beats, the use of the acoustic guitars, the ukulele, and Leah’s soft voice.

About the music Brandon said on their website BrandonandLeah.com, “Everything is groove based. We like things with a positive, beach vibe. If our songs don’t make you want bob your head, then we haven’t done our job.”

The first single on the EP is "Showstopper," which is the the popular theme song from E! Entertainment's Kourtney & Kim Take Miami . “Showstopper” has a exotic funky drumbeat that is definitely catchy pop tune. It has a neo-soulful sound that showcases Leah’s sultry voice and will have you dancing along with the beat.

The next single “Boom Boom Boom” has a softer and mellower sound that makes you envision a summer day in Southern California. The song has jazz vibe mixed with the sweet pop sound. The album remains in a more laid back and soft sound for the rest of the EP.

In the song “You’re So Cold” captures and highlights Leah’s dreamy and seductive voice. The song “House of Cards” has a darker and edgier sound that dresses up Leah’s playful voice. The last song “Say It Ain’t So Bad” is a sweet pop track that makes the EP come to a full circle.
