Breathe Carolina, electronic rock band from Denver, Colo. have released their free mixtape, Bangers July 6 on Sol Republic.
The mixtape features three brand new songs available for free download. The mixtape is not available anywhere besides online at Sol Republic.
Bangers features the newer dance style Breathe Carolina has embraced. This change in style allowed them to be signed on major record label, Columbia Records. However, the drastic change left fans wanting the old band’s sound back.
Breathe Carolina has been known for flawlessly combining electronic and hardcore. With their label change, they completely deleted their hardcore side.
Unclean vocalist, Kyle Even, is hidden singing clean vocals behind normal clean vocalist, David Schmitt in Bangers.
The mixtape has a great beat that listeners want to replay and move to. However, with the lack of the unclean vocals, the songs lie flat.
The unclean vocals added a unique twist that made the band well known. Now they play through the speakers like any other one frontman pop band.
For those curious in the mixtape check out the party jam, “Mistakes.” The mixtape rocks like The Ready Set.
Catch Breathe Carolina this summer on the Summer Fest tour with We The Kings, The Ready Set, and T. Mills.
