Courtney Love is in the midst of an 18-city tour, the publication of a memoir, and the release of a new album, Died Blonde , and the creation of new material has caused Love to ponder her body of work.

"There are songs I never play," the singer told The Huffington Post . "The two dumbest songs I ever wrote -- one was for [the movie] Any Given Sunday' and they put rappers and rocker together, it was so damn stupid. I took the masters home with me. They put me with Lil Kim. It was a nightmare. It was just terrible. OK, that was really bad, but even worse, I wrote an entire song and recorded it about the [Led Zeppelin] song 'Stairway to Heaven' and how I’m sick of it. That seems like it might come off, but it’s the most pretentious thing I've ever written about in my life."

The 49-year-old rocker has also said she is tired of band Hole’s most well known song, “Doll Parts,” though she features it in her set to please the crowd. Despite tiring of popular songs, Love is proud of her career and the full catalogue of music she has amassed. Though she takes pride in her work, she says she does not want her upcoming memoir to overshadow her new music, which is not featured in her current tour.

"There's some salacious things about myself, but there's certainly no kissy-telly,” Love said exclusively to Billboard . “I don't do kiss-tell. It's not that. In fact, you'd think I was the Virgin Mary from his book so far -- but that doesn't mean there's not juicy parts in it. It's just juicy parts about ME, not other people."

But it’s the juicy parts of Love’s life that sell, even if she’s not entirely pleased with public fascination surrounding her rocky relationship with late singer Kurt Cobain. When director Milos Forman pitched a biopic to Love, she did not sign off, saying “it would be too weird.”

"I know that Universal wants to make the film but I don’t know that I want to do it until ... I would feel weird having a film made about me and Kurt unless I was actually acting myself,” Love said.
