A couple on their way to a Dave Matthews Band concert Saturday in Hershey, PA. got the surprise of a lifetime when they spotted Mr. Matthew’s himself seeking a ride after being stranded from a flat bike tire.
Matthews opted for a pre-concert bike ride when he got a flat tire. Without a cell phone or any way back to the venue, the “Crash Into Me Singer” began walking back when Emily Kraus and her boyfriend noticed the singer spotted him, WPXI reports.
“We didn’t know how to make conversation with him, so we were talking about his tour and where he had come from,” Kraus admits. “I woke up this morning and said, ‘OK, yeah, that really happened.’ It was surreal.”
Matthews was so grateful that he brought Kraus and her beau backstage, signed their concert tickets, gave them front row tickets and even invited them to dinner!
When the concert began, Matthews kicked off the performance recalling the events.
"I did not have a cell phone on the bicycle. So I thought, 'S**t'... and then a nice lady named Emily rode up in a red car with a bicycle rack on it and gave me a ride on to the gig,” the singer explained as quoted by Contact Music.
