A D.C. area DJ is being charged with sexually assaulting numerous unconscious women while taking photos or videos of the acts.

Joseph M. Rivera, known as “DJ Joey Flash”, was arrested in Las Vegas Tuesday night and is pending extradition back to his hometown of Alexandria, Virginia. He is being charged with sexual assault, rape, aggravated sexual battery, animate sexual object penetration, and two counts of unlawful filming.

According to Washington Post, Rivera is very friendly and personable, making it possible for him to victimize many of the women he met through his nightclub jobs.

“He was the trusted guy to take them home,” said Jonas Mitchell, the former roommate of Rivera.

When the police started investigating his case, Rivera allegedly disappeared. Police then executed a search warrant in his home, finding many of the photos and videos.

All of the victims in the videos are adults and appear unconscious. NBC reports that it is still unclear to the police how the women became unconscious.

Police were able to identify some of the victims, and when they interviewed them they said they had not consented to the sexual acts or to being filmed.

After Rivera’s arrest, he was interviewed by police and admitted to his photos and videos of the women and said they all took place between Nov. 2011 and Dec. 2012.
