Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is working on his next Hollywood blockbuster, Hercules, and is keeping his fans up to date on its progress. He’s tweeted pictures of the set and a helmet he will wear.
Over the weekend, he posted a black and white photo of the set, confirming that the set was created by Jean-Vincent Puzos. “I sit in awe,” the Fast & Furious 6 star wrote. Puzos’ sets have been seen in Amour, Lord of War and 10,000 BC.
Today, Johnson tweeted a line from the film - “Become the man you were born to be” - which he credited to Hercules. He also included an image of the helmet.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Hercules, which was subtitled The Thracian Wars, is based on Steve Moore and Admira Wijaya’s Radical Comics miniseries. It centers on Hercules’ life after his twelve labors and the King of Thrace has asked for his help in stopping a tyrant. The rest of the cast includes Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Rufus Sewell, and John Hurt.
The film is being directed by Brett Ratner, whose last film was Tower Heist with Eddie Murphy.
Hercules: The Thracian Wars hits theaters on July 25, 2014.
