An open letter blasting Caribbean airline LIAT went viral today after Virgin CEO Sir Richard Branson tweeted it to his followers.

Branson founded the Virgin Group in 1970. The company operates an airline and a prepaid cell phone service.

“How to write a complaint letter – read this hilarious note from a frustrated airline passenger,” Branson said on Twitter .

Tennis professional Arthur Hicks wrote the sarcasm-laden letter to LIAT after his recent trip to the Caribbean.

“Most other airlines I have travelled on would simply wish to take me from point A to B in rather a hurry. I was intrigued that we were allowed to stop at not a lowly one or two but a magnificent six airports yesterday,” the letter published on ABC News says.

Branson received what some people regard as the most epic customer complaint of all time. He called the author of the letter to thank him personally and apologize for the culinary disaster.

The entire LIAT letter can be read on Bronson’s blog .
