Former New England patriot player Aaron Hernandez is now a prime suspect in the shooting death of two men in July 2012, after being arrested for the murder of Odin Lloyd last month. After being put under the spotlight for the Lloyd trial, investigators made a connection between Hernandez and the other shooting.

Hernandez plead not guilty to the death of Lloyd, whose body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on June 17. He is being held without bail at Bristol County House of Correction, and is scheduled for a probable cause hearing Wednesday afternoon in Attleboro.

Hernandez and two accomplices, Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz, allegedly drove Lloyd to the industrial park where he was shot five times. Boston.com reports that Wallace and Ortiz are now claiming Hernandez was the one who pulled the trigger.

Hernandez is now also being charged with the shooting deaths of two Cape Verdean immigrants, Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu, in the South End neighborhood of Boston on July 16, 2012.

According to Boston Globe, someone in a sports vehicle with a Rhode Island license plate pulled up next to the car holding the two immigrants and started shooting at them.

The families of the victims say the men have no criminal records, so the motive of the crime is not yet known. Investigators are not eager to charge Hernandez with the murder of Furtado and Abreu because he is already being held without bail.
