Franz Ferdinand released a video for “Love Illumination” on June 24.
The song has a familiar Franz Ferdinand sound but the video takes a turn to the abnormal side. The video is part one of David Lynch’s ‘60s psychedelic nightmare MTV reports. The band is shown wearing horse masks and dancing around with choreographed dancers.
The video was directed by Tim Saccenti NME reports. The band said the video was an, “absurdist horror pantomime choreography cross-dress frog-head bosom sparkle guillotine phew worra scorcha.”
Love Illumination can be download or purchased as a double A sided pink 7” vinyl along with “Right Action.” Both singles are off their upcoming album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action.
Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action is set for release on Aug. 27 via Domino Records.
The band is set to perform in Los Angeles on July 30, London on Aug. 20, and Glasgow on Aug. 21. Check out the video for Love Illumination below.
