For a film that comes out in a year, there has been scant news on Fifty Shades of Grey. In fact, all we keep hearing about is who will not going to be in the movie. The latest actor we know that will not be playing Christian Grey is Garrett Hedlund.

Us Weekly reported Friday that the Tron Legacy star has turned down the film, with a source telling the site that making a trilogy is too big a commitment. The source adds that producers would not let him only sign up for the first movie.

Meanwhile, Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder is out as well. Although he sounded enthusiastic about the film in April 2012, a source told Us that author E.L. James said at a Comic-Con party that “the part won't go to Ian.”

Access Hollywood also reported that Arrow’s Stephen Amell doesn’t want to do it. “...I actually didn't find him to be that interesting,” he told the site in June when asked about christian Grey.

So far what we know about Universal and Focus Features’ Fifty Shades of Grey film is that it is scheduled for Aug. 1, 2014 and that Sam Taylor-Johnson has been recruited to direct. The Nowhere Boy director will work with writer Kelly Marcel and producers James, Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca.
