George Zimmerman has emerged from hiding for the first time since being found ‘not guilty’ in the death of Trayvon Martin last week. He was seen helping a family of four after a car crash on Thursday.
The scene of the crash was less than a mile from where Zimmerman shot then-17 year old Martin. Police said parents and their two children got into an accident at the intersection of I-4 and route Route 46.
According to ABC News, Zimmerman was one of two men who helped the family as their blue Ford Explorer SUV had rolled over on the highway in Sanford, Fla.
No one was left injured because by the time police got to the scene, Zimmerman and the other man had helped them get out of the flipped car.
A jury ruled that 29 year old Zimmerman shot Martin on Feb. 26 2012 in self-defense. Since then, there have been many protests about the verdict.
