Justin Timberlake released the video for “Take Back The Night,” the first single from his upcoming second half of The 20/20 Experience, on Tuesday.
The video features Timberlake going for a walk around New York City and landing in a club, where he dances with the other patrons. There’s also footage of Timberlake performing the song at Yankee Stadium.
Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craven and Darren Craig directed the video for The Uprising Creative. It’s already earned over 2,700 likes and over 370 comments since it was posted today.
“Take Back The Night” was first teased earlier this month with a video that included just an excerpt of the track, plus Timberlake debuting the title. Just a day later, he released the track for download, along with the full audio on YouTube and Vevo.
The song actually earned some notoriety for its title, since “Take Back The Night” is also the name of an organization that fights sexual violence, which he later apologized to. “It is my hope that this coincidence will bring more awareness to this cause,” Timberlake said in a statement to RadarOnline.
The 20/20 Experience - Part 2 is expected in September.
