Kanye West’s “Black Skinheads” video popped up on his official site Monday and was quickly withdrawn. However, it remained on the web and was quickly criticized for its poor CGI animation. West took to Twitter last night to express his disappointment that it leaked and told the leaker “f**k you.”
The video is the first for a track from his new album, Yeezus. It is black and white, featuring CGI dogs and a CGI version of West. It quickly became the butt of jokes on the web and many wondered if it was even finished before it was posted.
It turns out that this was true. In a Twitter rant Tuesday night, West said that he and his collaborator Nick Knight hadn’t finished the video and it was not approved. He then begged the media to take down the unfinished video that is still being circulated.
“The BLKKK SKKKN HD video that leaked yesterday was not the official version,” West wrote in his first tweet. “Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives it's heartbreaking when something like this happens.”
West added that the final version will be out next week, adding, “Allow me and Nick to give the world what we've been losing sleep over.”
In his last tweet, he wrote, “And to who ever leaked the video… FUK YOU!”
