Kings of Leon is a Grammy winning rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. The band is consisted of a band of brothers Caleb Followill the lead vocals and guitarist, Nathan Followill the drummer and backup vocals, Jared Followill bass guitarist, and cousin Mathew Followill the lead guitarist.

Kings of Leon went under the radar after cancelling 2011 tour many were skeptical that they would make music again. They cancelled the tour because Caleb was suffering from “vocal issues and exhaustion.” Rolling Stone reported that Jared had tweeted and apology to the fans saying “there are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be address" and "I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

After that brief hiatus the boys are back at work with releasing their sixth album Mechanical Bull that will be released on September 24.

The single “Supersoaker” has the high-energy country rock sound with Caleb’s folksy voice. It’s an instant favorite song with its upbeat rhythm and catchy chorus. Caleb’s riveting voice makes the song come alive as he sings the lyrics, "I don't mind sentimental girls at times/ Miss don't walk away/ Walk away."

About the upcoming album Caleb told, Radio.com that they wanted a spontaneous and real feel to Mechanical Bull. Caleb said, “You could hear a lot of really natural things happening [on the recording]. A lot of times there was somebody in the background shooting basketball.”

Kings of Leon has started doing shows and will be headling the OKC benefit with the Flaming Lips. The concert is centered to help Oklahoma tornado victims, and all proceeds will benefit the United Way of Central Oklahoma.

It’s refreshing to see that Kings of Leon is back in the music scene once again.
