Kings of Leon have released their new single, “Supersoaker.” It’s the first full track released from Mechanical Bull, their next album, which is out in September.

The new track was released Wednesday and features the classic Kings of Leon sound, with Caleb Followill’s vocals front and center. It was produced by Angelo Petraglia and the album is set to have a more experimental sound than their past records.

According to NME, the track made its debut on U.K. radio during BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe program. The band chatted with Lowe, revealing how they pick the singles used to promote albums.

“Pretty much any song Caleb hates is guaranteed a smash hit, a Grammy or a BRIT award,” drummer Nathan Followill joked. Caleb added, “I’m the worst.”

Mechanical Bull is the first album from the group since 2010’s Come Around Sundown. The group earned their breakout album with 2008’s Only By The Night, which is up to 2.3 million copies sold, notes Billboard.

The new album will be released on Sept. 24. You can download “Supersoaker” on iTunes and Amazon or listen to the track below.
