Lady Gaga will make her highly-anticipated comeback from hip surgery at the MTV Video Music Awards at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on August 25. She will perform her first single off of new album ARTPOP.
Lady Gaga, who was just named Forbes’ Highest Earning Celebrity under 30, is the first artist to be announced as a performer for the live show.
MTV News reports the first single, which hasn’t been officially announced but is rumored to be “Applause,” will come out Aug. 19 and the album will be available for pre-order Sept. 1 and for everyone else on Nov. 11.
Gaga has received 13 Video Music Awards in her career and has made some memorable appearances and performances throughout the years.
Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have earned the most nominations this year with six.
Bruno Mars earned four nominations, while P!nk, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and Thirty Seconds to Mars all received three. Taylor Swift, Drake, Calvin Harris, Kendrick Lamar, The Weekend, fun., Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Capital Cities have all also been nominated.
