Lil Wayne has released the final version of his new music video, “God Bless Amerika”-noticeably absent from the video is the scene where the rapper stomps on the American flag.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, received series backlash after shots of him stomping on the American Flag surfaced on the web.

In the video, a flag falls to the ground revealing a large group of people. He stomps on the flag as he raps, “My country 'tis of thee / Sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die / God bless Amerika / This ole' godless Amerika."

Carter later defended the images saying that his stepping on the American symbol was an accident. “I didn't step on the flag on purpose! It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform,” he tweeted after controversy ensued.

In the new video, Carter is shot from the waist up, erasing the controversial footage, New York Daily News reports.
