Mariah Carey was rushed to the hospital for dislocating her shoulder on Sunday night on the set of her latest music video.
During the video shoot for a remix of “Beautiful,” featuring Miguel at Avenue and Artichoke Pizza in Chelsea, Carey was rushed to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery on the East Side of NYC.
Her rep told NY Post, “Mariah was injured while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon. She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and is recovering at home.”
Sources say she might’ve tripped on her heels while filming the video. She will appear at an event on July 13 to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief, but a source said “She will perform, but it is likely she will have her arm in a sling.”
MTV News notes Carey has announced her exit from American Idol and she made a cameo in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, which has an all-star cast of Forrest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Jane Fonda and more.
