Marvel will be promoting its upcoming film projects at Comic-Con next week and to get everyone ready, the Disney-owned company has released the first teaser poster for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

On the film’s official facebook page, Marvel posted the simple image of Captain America’s iconic shield. The shield’s paint is chipped and most of the red has worn off. It also features the film’s release date - April 4, 2014.

Marvel has previously posted other updates on The Winter Soldier. When production kicked off in April, it posted an image of Chris Evans in costume. In May, Marvel shared concept art by Ryan Meinerding.

The Winter Soldier is being directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, who replaced The First Avenger director Joe Johnston. The screenplay is by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who did work on The First Avenger.

The cast includes Evans in the title role, as well as Marvel vets Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson. Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo and Emily VanCamp are joining the cast, as is legendary actor Robert Redford. It’s the first comic book movie for Redford.

“I think these films are really powerful,” Redford told The Los Angeles Times in March. “I think they're great. This is the kind of film I would have loved to see as a kid.”

The LA Times reports that Marvel is also promoting Thor: The Dark World during its San Diego Comic-Con presentation on Saturday July 8. It will be hosted in the 6,500-seat Hall H.
