It didn’t take long for Michael Lohan to speak out about his daughter Lindsay Lohan now that she is out of rehab.

“I'm very, very proud of what she's accomplished, how far she's come and how seriously she's taking her sobriety and her future,” Michael tells E! News.
Michael made his feelings about his daughter entering rehab known at the time saying that he didn’t think rehab would help his troubled daughter. He explained to TMZ Live back in April, “She’s battling with drugs, pills and cocaine to imagine someone coming off of cigarette’s too.”

At the time he also explained that he “hopes” rehab helps Lohan, but “I don’t think so.”

Since leaving the Malibu Cliffside Rehab Tuesday morning, Lindsay has remained mum and is reportedly staying with a sober coach- Michael couldn’t be more proud, comparing his 27-year-old daughter to an actor who has hit rock bottom, and risen back to the top.

“I'm happy she's rethinking everything in her life, including the people in her lif,” Michael explains. "I think she's going to be another Robert Downey Jr."
