Mumford & Sons posted a new video for their song “Babel” off of their current album Babel.

The song opens their Grammy-winning album and the video features the band in an empty music hall Billboard reports. The setting is not the most interesting aspect to the video. The camera pans around the room showing the members multiple times.

Each member is shown around the room sometimes playing different instruments or sitting in the open space.

According to She Knows Marcus Mumford is shows 26 different times, Ben Lovett – 22 times, Winston Marshall – 21 times, and Ted Dwane – 19 times.

“Babel” did not get the test drive the band have their previous single “Lover of the Light.” Instead they let the hit stand on its own, which has proven to be successful.

The meaning of the song can be said it is inspired by the Biblical story of the Tower of Babel but that can be debated. Ted Dwane spoke to Rolling Stone about the meaning of the song.

“I think it’s a great story, the story of Babel. I think anyone can direct it as an analogy for a lot of different situations. Honestly, we’d like not to be too descriptive with the songs and their meanings . . . It feel like an important song to us right now,” he said.
