Nadine Shah is an English singer and songwriter with a talent for crafting edgy, dark, and moody songs. Shah has two successful EPs completed and is debuting her full-length album Love Your Dum And Mad on July 22. 2013.

Shah has gained inspiration from a variety of artists. Shah writes mostly about love and loss that correlate with personal experience but also inspiration from artists like Frida Kahlo and William Hogarth. Shah has created her own sound with the mixture of alternative rock ambient and dream pop.

Love Your Dum And Mad is named after a painting by Shah’s friend Mathew Stephens-Scott who passed away a few years ago. Shah told ContactMusic.com, "It seemed appropriate to call the album this as not only are a few of the songs about him, but others also suffering from mental health related issues. I wanted to write something to show the absurdities present in existing social stigmas towards those suffering from mental health related issues. People shouldn't be embarrassed. It should be something we can talk about as openly as any other health problem."

The first single on the album is “Aching Bones” starts off with a chilling clanging and piano playing. It has jazz and bluesy qualities with the melding of the variety of instruments. In the next single, “To Be Young Again” channels the classic alternative rock and acoustic sound. About the single Shah said, "I wrote this after chatting to a guy in a pub. The pub where I wrote most of the songs on this album. He was probably in his late 60s, I never got his name. We were both sat by ourselves at the bar and just started speaking. I remember he said during our conversation "sometimes I forget that I'm not a young man, then I catch my reflection"

Shah is an emerging talent showcases her dramatic melodic voice in eleven soulful tracks. Shah’s voice is powerful and demanding and her lyrics are symbolic and vivid. She gives you a piece of herself with each word to where you form a personal bond with her message. Though her work can be seen as crude and raw it depicts the reality we live in.
