July is National Ice Cream Month, and in its honor, the results of a study have been released, revealing that your favorite ice cream flavor corresponds with your personality.

Baskin Robbins partnered with taste test expert Dr. Alan Hirsch to find out what kinds of people like certain ice cream flavors. The results came out just as Ice Cream Month was over halfway through.

July was designated as National Ice Cream Month in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan, according to International Dairy Foods Association. Reagan hoped that American citizens would observe the special month with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.”

We think that Baskin Robin’s study would be up to Reagan’s standards. The study involved adults ages 18 to 65, who completed personality and psychiatric tests along with ice cream questioning.

As for the results, people who favor vanilla ice cream are impulsive and idealist, chocolate lovers are lively and flirtatious, strawberry fans are devoted and introverted, cookie dough admirers are ambitious and competitive, and mint chocolate chip enthusiasts are frugal and cautious.
