Nirvana is celebrating In Utero's 20 anniversary with a deluxe reissue.
There are no details except the set is expected to be released in September, Rolling Stone reports. The band’s album Nevermind celebrated its 20th anniversary two years ago with a reissue as well.
Nevermind’s re-release included B-sides, alternate mixes, and live recordings and footage. In Utero might include something similar, according to SPIN.
An old commercial featuring the band – Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl — originally to promote the album's release in 1993, was posted on the band’s official Facebook page.
The video shows the three “giving birth” on a classroom floor as Bobcat Goldthwait dressed in drag is coaching them by screaming “breathe” as the three push out several offspring.
In Utero follows their breakout album Nevermind and was their final album. The album included hits such as “Dumb,” “All Apologies,” and “Pennyroyal Tea.” During its release it went to the top of the charts and the RIAA declared it to be five-time platinum.
