An Ohio doctor working in pediatric oncology is now facing federal charges for downloading child pornography.

Christopher Pelloski is the Director of the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Program at The James Cancer Center at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus 10TV reports. He also had consulting privileges at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

On July 16, Pelloski's house was searched by members of the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, where the group found sexually explicit videos of children, some who appeared under the age of 10. Pelloski also admitted to using a laptop owned by the Ohio State University to download the material.

The 39-year-old turned himself in today following a complaint received by the U.S. District Court and also resigned from Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Pelloski has been charged with one count of receipt of child pornography, which could mean a sentence of five to 20 years in prison if convicted. He was due to appear in federal court at 3:30 p.m. today.
