British singer/ songwriter Passenger, Mike Rosenberg, said Ed Sheeran helped with his newfound success.

Passenger spoke to Music-News about how thankful he is to have met Sheeran.

“We’ve been mates for about 5 years. We met when we were on the same bill at a local gig and really liked what each other were doing. When Ed got massive he took me on tour with him and changed my life. I love him, he’s a wonderful guy,” he said.

Passenger received his big break with his single “Let Her Go” and his album All the Little Light. He said the attention it’s been getting is “quite a shock really.”

Rosenberg split form his band ‘Passenger’ and decided to keep the name for his solo project. He says it was difficult dealing with the split but everything is fine between the former members.

Passenger is hitting the road the summer in the United States and Canada. The tour starts in Vancouver on July 10 then wraps up in Florida on Sept. 7. More information about the tour and tickets can be found on his website.
