Paula Deen’s latest cookbook has been cancelled before publication. The book was set to release in October.

Although pre-orders of the book on Amazon were promising, Random House still decided to pull Paula Deen’s future cookbook. "After careful consideration, Ballantine Books has made the difficult decision to cancel the publication of Paula Deen’s New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up," the publishing company said in a statement.

Hoffman Media, published of magazine Cooking with Paula Deen told The Hollywood Reporter what they will continue to publish the bimonthly magazine which has a circulation rate of 400,000.

According to the Huffington Post, Sears and Walgreens have both decided to start phasing out Paula Deen products. "We will continue to evaluate the situation," the company said in a statement "Our members' needs will be given first priority as we work to continue to provide quality cookware in our stores and online.” Walmart, the world’s largest retailer cut ties with the southern cook Wednesday.
