Rapper Meek Mill has been ordered to take etiquette classes by a Philadelphia judge as part of his terms of probation.

The rapper, real name Robert Williams, started serving his 5-year probation sentence in 2009 after a 2008 gun and drug conviction that landed him in jail for 8 months although he was sentenced to 11 to 23 months.

According to The AP, Common Pleas Court Judge Genece Brinkley told Williams he must notify his probation officer when he leaves his area and he must finish the etiquette classes by Aug. 4.

His probation officer has been receiving threats from the rapper’s fans due to his posts on social media accounts such as Twitter. Judge Brinkley said the classes were "more important than any concerts he might have” because he needs to refine his use of social networks in order to explain to the court why he needs them for the nature of his business.

Philadelphia Daily News reports that the probation status meeting, Judge Brinkley said taking the status will give him a "big-picture perspective" on how he should act in and out of the courtroom.
