Tamera Mowery, star of the reality series Tia & Tamera and co-host of new talk show, The Real, revealed in a new interview that she waited until she was 29-years-old to lose her virginity.
Tamera revealed the interesting bit of personal information during an interview with Hot 97, Us Weekly reports. “I don't know how to explain this. I'm religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity,” she explained.
Tamera, who became famous alongside sister Tia in Sister Sister, admits that she lost her virginity to husband Adam Housely while they were dating, and “immediately” regretted it. The couple waited till they were married three years later before having sex again.
“You may not understand this [but] I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married,” Tamera, now 35, explained.
Tamera wed Housely in 2011, they welcomed their first child, a son named Aden, in November 2012.
