It’s being reported that Tara Reid was not asked back to do the Sharknado sequel with Ian Ziering, but the actress is taking to Twitter to deny those claims.

She tweeted over the weekend:

However, according to TMZ, sources say that when producers met to go over details for the sequel, they decided the only actor they wanted back was Ziering. They also reportedly went over a wish list for those they wanted to ask to be in the sequel, which will be based in New York.

As we previously reported, despite a party girl reputation, Ziering had only nice things to say about his co-star.

“We came in, did our work, she was honestly very sweet, prepared, ready to do her stuff and did a great job,” Ziering has said about working with her on the surprise hit movie. “I’ve gotta hand it to her – she was professional.”

Both Ziering and Reid got $50,000 for their roles in the movie, in which they play estranged spouses.

Fans will get to choose the name for the sequel. Sharknado’s success is a result of the Twitter attention it received, as the movie itself had 1.4 million viewers, but it was the 5,000 tweets per minute, 604,000 total tweets that made it a success.
