Tara Reid is denying reports that she has already been cut from SyFy’s b-movie sequel, Sharknado 2 taking to Twitter to slam the reports.
Reports from TMZ over the weekend stated that Reid would not return to reprise her role as Ian Zierings’s ex-wife, April Wexler, but Ziering was set to return.
The 37-year-old tweeted about the rumors over the weekend saying, “There is no script for sharknado 2 until i read it then i will make a decision but everyone that is saying i got cut that is not true#liars.”
The former American Pie actress was even offered support from The Asylum , the studio which dispatched Sharknado.
“For the record, @TaraReid is awesome and was great to work with in #SHARKNADO. We'd be lucky to have her back for the sequel. That is all!” they wrote.
The network announced the return of the tornado bearing sharks just weeks after the so-bad, yet so-good, movie aired. Sharknado did not see an overwhelming response to the film in ratings, but did find itself a social media sensation receiving just under one million mentions.
Sharknado 2 is set to air in 2014.
