The controversial Westboro Baptist Church, infamous for picketing the funerals of United States veterans, have zeroed in on Taylor Swift and boy band One Direction as their latest targets.

"@TaylorSwift13 works her 'girl next door' country-singer shtick, while hopping from one young man to the next and strutting across the world stage like a proud whore," members of the WBC published in a press release, The Huffington Post reports. The religious group plans to picket the singer’s August 3 concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

The WBC also targeted the 23-year-old’s 30 million Twitter followers, saying that if she were to tell her fans to “obey God,” it would “rock the house.” The outspoken religious community criticized Swift’s lyrics, saying she uses her world fame to "warble about fornication, instead of warning her fellow man of the coming destruction."

WBC member Ben Phelps says that his church takes further issue with Swift pretending to be a "good Christian, but she's not," saying she promotes "whoredom, fornication … that filthy lifestyle.”

Swift is not the only target of the WBC. The Independent reports that One Direction is also under scrutiny by the group, which has dubbed the all-male group a band of “crotch-grabbing little perverts.”

The WBC believes that One Direction is the embodiment of the United Kingdom’s rejection of their ideology saying that band’s existence is “a perfect representation of this filthy world and the sin-chasing, fag-enabling, Christ-rejecting UK who has banned WBC from preaching within her borders.”

“These freaks and their fans think it’s funny for these five perverts to grab each other’s asses on stage,” a member of the WBC explained. “They glamorize sin and mock of God’s standards. Their one purpose is to encourage the youth of this generation to pursue every lust their evil hearts can imagine.”

The church as also parodied One Direction’s hit song “One Thing,” replacing the catchy opening lyrics with, “We’ll be playing it cool/ When God’s wrath is on you/ None of you will be brave/ When god ends this human race.”
