Three children were injured when a Cadillac that had been rear-ended by a Range Rover crashed into a daycare in Kansas City, Missouri.
The driver of the Range Rover was also injured.

Approximately 40 children were at the Christian Academy Child Care at the time of the accident. The Cadillac crashed into the front of the building.
The seriously injured children are receiving medical care at Children's Mercy Hospital.

"All the children (at the day care) have been accounted for at this point," Danny Rotert, Kansas City communications director, told Rueters .

Two children were trapped under the Cadillac. The Caddilac’s driver fled from the scene of the accident.

The children who were not injured waited for their parents at a house near the daycare.

"I'm just glad my kids are safe and I'm sorry for the kids that got hurt," parent Curtis Sawyer told the Associated Press . "My heart and prayers go out to their family."
