TLC released a teaser clip of their upcoming VH1 biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story on June 25 and announced they are to release a greatest hits collection.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story premieres on Oct. 21 on VH1. KeKe Palmer will star as Rozanda “Chili” Thomas, Drew Sidora as Tionna “T-Boz” Watkins, and Lil Mama as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez Consequence of Sound reports.

“[Lisa] left behind a legacy in her music and her style that people fell like, ‘don’t touch that.’ And it’s an honor to be chosen by her sisters, to say ‘hey you got it, don’t worry about what nobody else says. Make us proud,” Lil Mama said.

The trailer shows the actresses recreating videos for “Creep,” “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs.”

It’s been 11 years since TLC’s last album 3D. A collection of the group’s hits as well as new music will be released on Oct. 15. Currently two new song have been written; “Meant To Be,” written by Ne-Yo and “Posh Life,” written by Lady Gaga.

“Not one artist has said no, and that’s amazing and a blessing . . . You know, we’ve been gone for a minute. But to see everyone coming to us like, ‘Yo! We heard y’all working, I gotta be down!’ That’s amazing,” TLC’s manager said regarding TLC working with other artists on new material.

TLC has performances lined up including the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Penn. Lil Mama has been asked to fill in for Left Eye.

T-Boz said, “no one will ever be a member of this group. Ever.”

“We love that she [Lil Mama] sill has her own thing. It’s still kind of of out there, but I love it. We love it. I love her personality. She’s just so creative and sweet,” Chili added.

TLC had ten top ten singles on Billboard Hot 100 chart and a number one album. Their album CrazySexyCool holds the record for top-selling album by a female group in the U.S., selling 11 million in the U.S and 23 million worldwide Billboard reports.
