A fourteen month old bought a vintage car with her father’s smartphone.
Toddle Sorella Soute, from Portland, Oregon, was playing with her father’s phone when she bought a 1963 Austin-Healey Spite car for $225. She opened the eBay app and clicked on the recent viewed button and placed a bid, according to Digital Trends.
After the car was bought, Paul Soute was sent an email asking about the car payment.
“I actually thought it was a phishing email – one of those where people try to steal your information, that kind of thing,” Stoute said. “I actually looked it up on eBay just to make sure it was legit and sure enough the little one must’ve bought a car.”
Stoute as offered to cancel the order after he explained to the car owner what has happened but he decided to keep the car. The Independent reports the family will keep the car and after some restoration will give it to Sorella as a present for 16th birthday.
