Two 15-year-old boys saved a kidnapped girl by chasing down the suspected car on their bikes and rescuing the five-year-old girl.
Jocelyn Rogas was abducted Thursday afternoon while playing outside in the yard of her home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Daily Mail reports that for a heart-wrenching two hours over 100 police and neighbors frantically searched the area. They even got canine units involved.
Temar Boggs and a friend were among those searching for Rogas when they spotted her in a sedan about half a mile away from the scene. The teens chased after their car on their bikes for about 15 minutes before the driver realized he was being followed.
The kidnapper panicked after realizing the two high school students were tailing him, stopped, and let Rogas out of the car. Rogas immediately ran to Boggs and his friend, who then took her to the police station.
According to CNN, Rogas’ grandmother and the rest of her family are extremely thankful to Boggs and his friend and they are being hailed as heroes for their bravery in the situation.
"He's our hero. There is just no words to say," said Tracey Clay, Rogas’ grandmother.
Police are still searching for the alleged kidnapper.
