Natalie Dormer, who currently stars on HBO’s Game of Thrones, has joined Liongate’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
The studio made the announcement on its Twitter page, stating that she will appear in both parts of its adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ final book in the Hunger Games trilogy. Dormer will play the role of Cressida in the films.
The next part of the Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire, is still a few months away. It will open on Nov. 22 and sees Jennifer Lawrence back as Katniss Everdeen, along with other Hunger Games vets Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. A trailer for the film was screened at Comic-Con. Philip Seymour Hoffman is among the new castmembers.
