While there are a few new wide releases this weekend, none are expected to do particularly well at the box office. Lee Daniels’ The Butler should have a strong second weekend, while it’s anticipated that We’re The Millers holds on again.

Daniels’ film opened to $25 million last weekend, which was great for the $30 million film. It buried Kick-Ass 2 and it’s expected to do that again to this week’s wide releases. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Butler is expected to score $16 million in weekend two. That’ll bring its total to around $50 million.

Entertainment Weekly is predicting a strong third weekend for the Jennifer Aniston comedy We’re The Millers. The film grossed $17.8 million last weekend and if it only takes another small dip, it could add $12 million. That puts the $37 million comedy on track to make $100 million by the time it ends its run.

Lionsgate’s horror film You’re Next is another low-risk release. It’s been sitting on a shelf since the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and its expected to make just under $12 million.

Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is another young adult novel adaptation. It’s been in theaters since Wednesday and only made $3 million that day. It cost German studio Constantin Films $60 million to make and is being distributed domestically by Screen Gems. It’ll probably finish with $15 million after five days.

Also opening this weekend is The World’s End with Simon Pegg, which may sneak into the Top 5 if enough people are looking for laughs. Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine expands to 1,237 locations.
