Amanda Bynes is reportedly doing better under psychological care.

The She’s the Man actress a “cocktail” of drugs, which means that they’ve given her a combination of medication to take control of what the doctors say is schizophrenia. In the past three days it appears as though the medication has worked says TMZ. Not only has the actress stopped insulting people and calling them “ugly,” but she has been pleasantly polite, even saying please and thank you.

Although there have been rumors that Amanda’s parents were thinking about dropping the petition to become Amanda’s temporary conservator, TMZ assures that this is not the case and that her parents feel that it is “essential” that Amanda gets long-term care and supervision.

Amanda is scheduled to have a court hearing today as an attempt to get out of the psychiatric ward. Her doctors are confident that the young starlet will not be allowed out for a few reasons, some of which are that there’s no surety that the drugs will work long term or even if she will voluntarily take the drugs outside of the hospital.
