Anthony Weiner, who is still running for New York mayor despite his new sexting scandal, has yet another problem - Barbara Morgan, a press secretary who went on a profanity-filled tirade directed at a former intern. Weiner is standing by Morgan, who has since apologized and is trying to make light of the incident on Twitter.

Morgan was interviewed by Talking Points Memo and during the interview, she took out her frustrations at an intern, calling her a slut and using other curses. “I'm dealing with like stupid f***ing interns who make it on to the cover of the [New York] Daily News even though they signed NDAs and/or they proceeded to trash me,” she said in the interview, reports ABC News. The NDAs she refers to are non-disclosure agreements.

Morgan added, “And by the way, I tried to fire her, but she begged to come back and I gave her a second chance.”

The tirade was directed at Olivia Nuzzi, who wrote a piece for the Daily News about why she joined Weiner’s campaign.

“In a moment of frustration, I used inappropriate language in what I thought was an off the record conversation,” Morgan said in a statement to ABC. “It was wrong and I am very sorry, which is what I said tonight when I called and emailed Olivia to apologize."

Morgan also sent out the following Tweet:

Nuzzi also tweeted that she accepted Morgan’s apology.

As for Weiner, he told the media, “You bet,” when asked if Morgan was still on the campaign. However, she didn’t appear at an event on Wednesday in the Rockaways.

The news comes just days after his campaign manager quit amid the sexting scandal.
