Police arrested a man who tried to break into Kid Rock’s home in north Detroit.
Michigan authorities arrested a man, 43, after tips of the man’s description caught on surveillance photos were made by police dispatch.
According to the Associated Press, security cameras at the musician’s home caught the attempted burglary. The man, whose name has yet to be released, rammed his 1994 Ford Club Wagon into the gated driveway, but failed to get in. In addition, the man was seen on crutches.
The man’s car was found and impounded.
After the failed attempt, Kid Rock went onto his website and offered $5,000 reward for information leading to the burglar’s arrest Fox News reports. He also left a threatening message.
“Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break in. I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives.”
More information will be released once the prosecutor is authorized warrants.
