Many know the Black Eyed Peas' female vocalist by the name Fergie, but that was only a stage nickname until Friday. Born Stacy Ann Ferguson, she officially changed her name to Fergie Duhamel.
According to ABC News, Fergie's representative confirmed the news about her big name change. Along with officially becoming Fergie, she takes on her husband's last name. The singer married actor Josh Duhamel in 2009.
Fergie become widely known with the Black Eyed Peas when she joined the band in 2003. She then went solo for a bit in 2006 with The Dutchess. Her solo album spawned 5 top five singles in the U.S., including "Glamorous," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and the aptly titled "Fergalicious." This past May, she contributed a new song to the The Great Gatsby movie soundtrack.
Fergie has since put music on the sidelines to start a family with her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Duhamel are currently expecting their first child together.
