The Emmy nominated series is back September 8th. Boardwalk Empire was recently honored with 10 nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, Bobby Cannavale and Tim Van Patten respectively. The show has won a total of 12 Emmys and two Golden Globes. Critics are in love with Boardwalk Empire and if you have not tuned in this season you might have to clear your Sunday nights to watch.
This season will bring some exciting new characters and storylines that will be sure to keep viewers glued to their televisions on Sunday nights. Last season Nucky Thompson had many ups and downs including his estranged relationship with his wife Margaret, gangster rival Gyp Rossetti, losing his lover Billy, and a slew of other mishaps. This time around Mr. Thompson is keeping a low profile.
New characters this season include, Jeffrey Wright as Valentin Narcisse, a Harlem broker who tries to get in on Chalky’s action, Ron Livingston as Roy Phillips, a businessman and love interest for Gillian. Patricia Arquette, speakeasy owner from Florida, Brian Geraghty as Federal Agent Warren Knox, and Domenick Lombardozzi and Morgan Spector as Ralph and Frank Capone.
Season four kicks off with Nucky attempting to make amends with Arnold Rothstein and Joe Masseria. Chalky is busy running the Onyx Club. Agent Knox arrives in A.C. to get the 411 from Agent Sawicki. Gillian is struggling to get custody of Tommy and keep her business running. Eli’s son Willie seeks advice from Nucky, while Richard Harrow goes back to his violent lifestyle and Al Capone enlists his brother to expand his business.
