Chris Brown took to early this morning to say that his upcoming album X could be his last album. The message came less than 24 hours after he was booked and released in connection with his alleged hit-and-run incident from May.
Brown had arrived at the Van Nuys jail at 2 p.m. Monday according to TMZ, sneaking in and out quickly to avoid photographers thanks to the work of his lawyer, Mark Geragos. Brown was booked and released in just 45 minutes. No bail was set.
After that, Brown took to Twitter to tell his fans that X will probably be his last album, notes MTV News. “Don't worry mainstream America,” he tweeted. “After this X album, it'll probably be my last album.”

Later, Brown, 24, sent out another message, saying that he can’t understand why his beating of singer Rihanna is still important. He said he’s tired of hearing about that. “Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent,” he wrote. “I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!”
While Brown may be over it, the law isn’t, since his hit-and-run case may be a violation of his probation. He has a hearing scheduled for Aug. 19, during which he’ll find out if he was in violation. He could be sentenced to up to four years in prison, notes MTV.
Brown is accused of being in a hit-and-run on May 12. As we previously reported, the charges for driving without a license and driving without proof of insurance have been dropped.
