Chris Brown suffered a seizure at a Los Angeles recording studio Friday. Emergency personnel rushed to the “Don’t Judge Me” singer’s aide, but he was not hospitalized. A rep for the 24-year-old singer has released a statement blaming the ongoing negative attention and legal battles his client is enduring as a cause for the seizure.

“While in the studio working early this morning, Chris suffered a non-epileptic seizure (NES)," Brown's rep explained to E! News. "He was not hospitalized. His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity.

Brown suffered the seizure around 1 a.m., but when medical officials arrived he reportedly turned down medical attention. At the time, authorities would not confirm the identity of person who suffered the seizure.

As we previously reported, Brown’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran posted on Twitter, “Prayers all day.” Brown has not directly addressed the incident on his Twitter, but did post early Saturday, “They won't love u until u r a memory...”

Currently, the controversial singer is battling allegations of a hit-and-run, which the singer has adamantly denied. His probation has since been revoked. Last week, Brown snuck in and out of jail as part of a deal organized by his lawyer.
