Police in Forney, Texas pulled George Zimmerman over for speeding on Highway 80 on Sunday.

The policeman asked Zimmerman where he was going. He told the police officer that he wasn’t going anywhere in particular, CBS News reports.

The police let him go after checking for warrants. He did not have any.
Attorney Mark O’Mara told ABC News that Zimmerman intended to buy a new gun and [he] "needs it now more than ever…There are a lot of people out there who actually hate him, though they shouldn't[.]”

Zimmerman told the officer that he had a gun in his glove box. Federal investigators asked Florida to send Zimmerman’s original gun to them as part of their investigation into possible civil rights charges.

This is the second time that Zimmerman has made the news since his acquittal. He was in the news recently for helping people who were trapped in a vehicle after an accident.
