Country singer Chris Young was rushed to a hospital in Denver with a leg infection today.

Although the condition is stable, according to USA Today, doctors do not yet know the reason for the infection, forcing Young to bed rest in the hospital for at least 24 hours.

Young was on his way to Kalispell, MT for the Northwest Montana Fair & Rodeo when his leg acted up, causing his show to be cancelled.

"One minute I was fine then suddenly I'm being rushed to the hospital,” Young explained. “I look forward to being up and around and back on the road."

In addition to tonight’s show being cancelled, Young will also not perform at his scheduled shows on Thursday or Saturday.

"I'm so sorry to disappoint the fans but I didn't even know I was sick," Young apologized.

The Red Head Express, Bruce and Betsy Mullen and John Dunnigan are set to replace Young’s cancelled performance in a free concert tonight, reports NBC Montana. Fans will receive refunds for their purchased tickets starting Tuesday.

As of now, Young will resume his tour on August 21 in California in order to continue promoting his newest single, “Aw Naw.”
